Wines for a Wine Down is back. If you are like me and have been waiting for Insecure on HBO wait no longer. It is back and it good to see the ladies being funny, smart, making dumb choices, growing together and apart. The good news is we get ten episodes instead of eight and I am here for all of it. And if you haven’t watched the show since all of us are staying home, you know you have time to recap.

I am not here to recap episode one from season four. I’m here to pair wine with each character.

Issa. Champagne Moussé Brut Blanc de Noirs Perpetuelle L'Or d'Eugéne (NV). We see Issa is on her self-care train and she is excited about doing the work to get her block party up and running. The block party is going to be a win for Issa so she can do a small low key celebration for all her hard work with Champagne Moussé Brut Blanc de Noirs Perpetuelle L'Or d'Eugéne (NV). There is no way I cannot start off the recap with a bang and this champagne is divine. Cedric Moussè is kicking off my very first virtual wine chat today at 3:00pm EST and we will be discussing this very champagne.

Molly. 2015 Bodegas y Viñedos Raúl Pérez Ultreia Saint Jacques. Molly is going to be Molly. Whenever a good guy comes into the picture Molly is finding ways to sabotage things by not being honest with them and herself. Molly needs to try something different and this beautiful Spanish Mencia wine is right up her alley. It’s different than the bolder reds she drinks, but spicier enough for her to stick with it.

Kelly. Encostas do Lima Vinho Verde Rosé. Kelly is always the life of the party so she needs the kind of wine I call a “porch pounder.” It’s so easy, delicious, and fun that you can sit on the porch and have more than a few glasses. It has a slight effervescence in the glass and will go with a variety of foods. I love this easy sipping goodness in a glass.

Condola. 2018 Lauverjat Sancerre Perle Blanche. Sancerre is a go-to of mine and I decided to give Condola a wine because Tiffany is with child so she is probably only drinking water. Yeah right. Condola is the opposite of Issa, poised and together like most of the PR professionals I know. This wine will make you fall in love with the Loire Valley and you will be drinking tons of this elegantly made Sauvignon Blanc. If you think you don’t like Sauvignon Blanc, try this one. Trust me.
