Time: 1:00pm - 2:30pm ET | 10:00am - 11:30am PT

Location: Zoom

Price: $65 per person. Champagne not included.

Pinot Noir is a wine grape that I avoided falling for years. Not because of its versatility to make various styles of wine including white, red, rosé, or champagne, but because so many geeked out about it. I didn’t want to really be part of the club, because I knew the road would lead to Burgundy and Oregon. I was already on the champagne road and that’s already a big budget. A few years ago I participated in a seminar about Pinot Noir’s aromatics and paired a fragrance with each wine.

For this class, grab one of your favorite fragrances and I’ll pair your fragrance with one of the selected pinot noirs to explore both its bouquets.

We will explore pinot noirs from various regions: Burgundy (Bourgogne), France, Oregon (Willamette Valley), California (Santa Rita Hills/Santa Barbara), and Champagne. This is an introduction to pinot noir and most of the wines are available in wine stores (even the big box stores) as well as the links emailed to you.

We’ll cover:

  • Burgundy: soil, weather, and its vineyards

  • Oregon: the similarities of the region is similar to Burgandy, France and it should be a must visit for wine enthusiasts

  • California: what gives their pinot noirs richness and depth

  • Champagne: champagne is known for blending, but we will drink a pinot noir dominant champagne

No prior wine knowledge required.

Wines are not provided. Must be purchased on your own.
