Lowkey Movin' On: Wines for a Wine Down (S4:E5)

DRAMA! I mean I knew this episode was going to have some drama, but this was drama. I know all friendships go through difficult discussions, but there are also some things you can’t always recover from. And with only four more episodes I am going to be glued to what happens.

Issa. 2018 Bodegas Ostatu Rioja Blanco. Issa’s hard work has paid off and she can afford to treat herself to a delicious wine at a great price. Plus, this will pair with her makeshift quesadilla at the start of the show.

Molly. 2017 La Crema Saralee’s Vineyards Chardonnay. Molly is usually a red girl, but since this block party is outside, this small lot Sonoma chardonnay is right up her alley. It has enough fun texture and character to make this a a delicious wine that pairs with block party dishes and other finer fare.

Kelly. 2019 Lioco Indica Rose. Kelly is hilarious at all times and this rosé pairs with her personality. It is made from Carignan, a grape not normally associated with rosé, but is lively, zippy, and has enough something, something to stand up to Kelly. And she is a lot (said in my British accent).

Tiffany. 2019 Love Drunk Rosé. Condola is having a bad time in the romance arena and I choose this rosé for the name, but it is delicious and made by one of my favorite winemakers André Hueston Mack, who I will be in conversation with on Friday, May 15 at 6:00pm. You can register here.

See you next week for another Insecure “wine down” pairing.
