Lowkey Thankful: Wines for a Wine Down (S4:E3)

Well, well, well. We finally see a clink in the relationship with Issa and Molly. We saw it coming, but to actually see it is so new. As with life, change is inevitable and it is the same in friendships.

Issa. Aplanta Red Blend. We see Issa is still on a budget as she manages to prep for her block party. This has Portuguese red blend has been my go-to since discovering a few months ago. It is officially a “house” red.

Molly. Laurent Perrier Demi-Sec Champagne. We see Molly still having some issues with her dad, but since she is responsible for pie for the holiday, it is only fitting that she has a wine that will go with her pies. This sweet Champagne will be just what she needs to deal with the family, especially one of her brother’s girlfriend.

Kelly. 2018 J. Mourat "Collection" Val de Loire Rosé. This rosé is the life of the party for me each summer. Made in the Loire Valley and not Provence it is a blend of the traditional Provençal blends of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre, but is enhanced by Négrette, a grape you don’t hear as much of in France.

Condola. 2018 Illahe Estate Pinot Noir. Since Condola is hosting her Friendsgiving and since I believe Pinot Noir is a perfect celebration grape. This one goes down easy and works for a variety of dishes.
