Wine. Travel. Life.
Julia Coney is a Washington, D.C.-based wine and travel writer, educator, and consultant. She spent over twenty years working in the legal field before switching careers to become a full-time writer and consultant. Her wine writing includes stories on wine and winemakers, personal essays and the intersection of race and wine. She holds a WSET Level Two Certification in Wine and Spirits and is currently pursuing her Master Level Champagne Certification with the Wine Scholar Guild. Her work has been featured in The Tasting Panel and Wine Enthusiast. She has been featured in Forbes.com, Glamour, Essence, Texas Monthly, The Washington Post, and numerous print and digital publications. She has worked with the Four Seasons Company, American Airlines, Celebrity Cruises, Marriott, and various Tourism Visitor Bureaus.
She is passionate about wine as a lifestyle, travel, books and finding the elusive story of wine in her glass. Julia believes wine is communal and everyone should be allowed a seat at the table to enjoy it.
