Book Review: Opening Belle by Maureen Sherry
I first heard about Opening Belle by Maureen Sherry from Reese Witherspoon's Instagram feed. Reese is a bibliophile, Southern girl, and I've been a fan for a long time. Her production company makes really good movies from books, hello Wild by Cheryl Strayed. I look at all her book suggestions. When she recommended this book and said she was making it into a movie I knew I had to read it.
Opening Belle tells the story of the financial crisis of 2008 from a woman on the inside of Wall Street and the culture of Wall Street. Sherry worked for over a decade on Wall Street so she really has insider information. The book will have you looking at the stock market in an entirely differently light. The book is funny, sad, and smart all at the same time. I suggest you add this to your spring reading list.
Add this one to your bookshelf. If you want to see what I'm reading check out my hashtag #JCBookshelf on Instagram.
