Champagne of the Month: Champagne Palmer & Co.

November 2019 - Champagne of the Month

November 2019 - Champagne of the Month

November is “technically” Champagne month. In many cities Champagne Week is happening and there are tons of event. In a city like New York there is technically something every day in wine, but particularly champagne this month. I know. It’s a lot. For November, I’m kicking off after a few days of busy with Champagne Palmer & Co. Brut Réserve.

You may be thinking, I’ve never heard of them. Good. Now you can add it to your list to try. Champagne Palmer was created in 1947 from seven grower champagne families that decided to come together to produce their own champagne from grapes in the Montagne de Reims which is one of the vineyard sites designated for champagne production.

The Brut Réserve is a go-to Champagne. Don’t think of this as a champagne you need to hold on to, although you could, but why? I say drink it now. Yeah, I know you are thinking, but Julia the holidays are coming up? You know what I say to that? If you woke up this morning with your health, a roof over your head, and able to read this, then go buy it. Today is a holiday too. One of being alive to sip this champagne.

Tell me what you think when you try it.
