Currently Coveting These Pretty Things

It's been a week since celebrating 10 years of blogging. I'm on a new platform and still trying to figure things out. It seems like forever. Maybe because it almost feels like dog years. All the archives are available here. Haha! My life has been pretty hectic. I'm in the midst of a kitchen remodel due to the freeze last month and a pipe bursting in my kitchen wall. Needless to say, it's been rough. I have been without a kitchen for over a month and if you know me then it is horrible. I feel not being able to cook is like a punishment of some sorts.

One of my dear friends was in town on Friday and it felt good to have breakfast over laughs, a good meal, and to still bask in the beauty of knowing I am still blessed. The kitchen will be great, but it did spark something in me. Now, I know what I want when I design my dream kitchen which is a few years off.

There is nothing I can do but deal with it. I have to roll with the punches and embrace this new normal until my life and kitchen reveals some sort of normalcy. In the meantime, I am coveting these pretty things to make me happy and put a smile on my face while the rest of my life tries to find a balance between construction and beauty.

  1. Barista Documentary. My friend Cecilia recommended this documentary and I couldn't get enough. I love a good cup of coffee. It's part of my daily ritual and I could not get enough of this documentary based on one of my favorite beverages.
  2. BECCA Cosmetics Skin Perfector Luminous Blush. The minute I heard these blushes were hitting the market I placed my order and fell in love. I believe a woman should never leave home without the trinity of beauty - mascara, blush, and a lip product. I'm glad these beauties are available and my cheeks are ready.
  3. Aim True by Kathryn Budig. As a yogi I fell in love with Kathryn, but it was taking a workshop with her last year at the Yoga Journal Conference in New York where I fell deep in love. Kathryn is a foodie like me and I can't wait to dive into her cookbook - even if I have to borrow someone else's kitchen.
  4. Sisley Limited Edition Black Rose Precious Face Oil Discovery Program. I fell in love with Sisley's Black Rose Face Oil when it debuted a few years ago and hated having to depot it when traveling. Now, I'm excited that they have a travel serious and I can't wait to bring it with me on a few trips this year. Sisley makes that good face stuff that I love.
